Why oil-filled systems remain the gold standard for long-term industrial, commercial, and utility grid power delivery systems.
At the center of our liquid-immersed transformers lies high-permeability, grain-oriented silicon steel. Cut using high-precision CNC equipment, our cores minimize eddy current losses. With copper winders processed through CNC automatic winders, they exhibit excellent short-circuit resistance and high mechanical resilience.
Mineral oils and natural ester fluids function as both high-dielectric insulators and cooling media. Under ONAN (Oil Natural Air Natural) or ONAF (Oil Natural Air Forced) operating profiles, the fluid naturally circulates to disperse heat. This permits operation under severe thermal overloads and extends transformer lifespan beyond 30 years.
Our modern distribution transformers employ completely sealed corrugated tanks. By isolating the insulating liquid from atmospheric oxygen and moisture, we eliminate oxidation and oil degradation. Consequently, this drastically cuts downstream operation and maintenance (O&M) expenditures for grid operators.
How Zhejiang Tanaka Electric leverages local manufacturing efficiency to supply globally certified infrastructure.
We design and test our products to comply with major international standards including IEC 60076, IEEE C57.12, CE, and national CCC standards. Whether you operate a 50Hz grid in Europe or a 60Hz system in the Americas, our engineering team tailors impedance, tap-changer ratios, and bushings to fit your localized specifications.
Operating from Zhejiang, the heart of China’s electrical manufacturing cluster, we enjoy direct access to high-grade copper, silicon steel, and custom components. This concentration of raw materials enables shorter production runs, lower material costs, and expedited shipping logistics through Ningbo and Shanghai ports.
We provide procurement support for global EPC contractors, power utilities, and industrial developers. Our offerings include comprehensive documentation, detailed technical drawings, routine type-test reports, and localized field installation support to expedite grid interconnection approval.
Our transformer solutions are engineered to withstand diverse geographic, environmental, and load conditions.
Our pad-mounted and step-up transformers are used in wind and solar installations. Designed to manage harmonic loads and cyclic duty cycles, they support grid stability for renewable energy projects.
Corrosion-resistant and fire-retardant fluid options make our transformers suitable for chemical plants, steel mills, and mining operations that demand high overload capacity and continuous uptime.
Compact design profiles, low noise levels, and low-loss operations allow our transformers to be integrated directly into municipal grids, commercial complexes, and suburban distribution networks.
Technical insights from our engineering department regarding selection, deployment, and testing.
Mineral oil is the traditional standard, offering excellent cooling properties at a lower cost. Natural ester fluids, derived from vegetable sources, offer a higher fire point (>300°C) and are biodegradable, making them ideal for ecologically sensitive areas and indoor installations.
We use high-grade, grain-oriented cold-rolled silicon steel sheet cores coupled with step-lap core stacking configurations. This reduces both no-load losses and noise levels during operation.
Yes. For coastal or high-humidity regions, we apply C4 or C5-grade corrosion protection coatings. For high altitudes, we adjust the bushing creepage distances and clearances to prevent flashovers in thin air.
Every transformer undergoes routine testing in our laboratory, including winding resistance tests, voltage ratio and phase displacement checks, impedance voltage/short-circuit impedance tests, no-load loss/current tests, and dielectric tests. Type tests and special tests can be arranged upon request.
Depending on the capacity rating and optimization requirements, custom manufacturing ranges between 30 to 45 days. Our efficient supply chain allows us to complete orders quickly without compromising quality.
